About
Colonist.io, an innovative gaming platform, has carved a niche for itself as a premier online alternative to the beloved board game, Settlers of Catan. Founded in 2018 by Goktug and Demi Yilmaz, the company has quickly evolved from a novel idea into a thriving community with millions of users engaging in strategic gameplay. The vision behind Colonist.io was straightforward yet ambitious: to create an engaging multiplayer environment that captures the essence of classic board games while making them accessible to players worldwide. What started as a passion project stemming from the founders' own experiences in online gaming guilds has now transformed into a modern-day gaming guild dedicated to enhancing player experience. With a fully remote team, Colonist.io emphasizes an output-driven culture, balancing work with an emphasis on fun and creativity within the gaming sphere. The platform offers a compelling blend of strategy, negotiation, and community engagement, allowing players to dive into a world where every game session is a new adventure. Colonist.io not only hosts games but fosters a vibrant community that keeps players coming back, eager for their next challenge.
