About
In 1984, Stephen Rosedale founded CommuniCare with a vision to create something different in healthcare - a family-owned company that would become one of the nation's largest providers of post-acute care. What started as a single facility has grown into a network of more than 150 communities across seven states, offering a complete continuum of care including skilled nursing rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, independent rehabilitation centers, and long-term acute care hospitals. At the heart of CommuniCare's philosophy is a commitment to person-centered care guided by the principle of 'Serving with Pride.' The company operates according to its True Blue Standards of Excellence, which define five pillars of customer experience: Clinical Excellence, Service Excellence, Environmental Excellence, Culinary Excellence, and Satisfaction Excellence. Their mission is simple yet profound: 'to reach out with our hearts and touch the hearts of others.' Through this approach, CommuniCare creates what they call Caring Communities - environments where staff, residents, and family members genuinely care for one another.
