About
At the Digital Harbor Foundation, we are passionately dedicated to fostering innovation, technical advancement, and entrepreneurship by empowering youth with essential digital age skills. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, we have transformed a former recreation center into a vibrant, state-of-the-art Tech Center where young people from all backgrounds can come together to learn, create, and explore the limitless possibilities of technology. We firmly believe that access to opportunity is a fundamental right, and we are committed to democratizing societal and economic well-being through digital equity for everyone. Our mission is driven by a desire to increase diversity in the technology sector and provide innovative education that prepares the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the future workforce. We offer a comprehensive range of programs designed to spark curiosity and build practical skills, including after-school tech clubs, immersive summer camps, and targeted workforce development initiatives. In our labs, youth learn to code software, design intricate 3D prints, build dynamic websites, and work hands-on with emerging technologies. Beyond our direct service to youth, we are actively working to bridge the digital divide through Project Waves, our community-based internet service provider that connects underserved families to affordable, high-speed home internet. Furthermore, we support educators and other non-profits through our Center of Excellence, sharing our successful 'rec-to-tech' model to help others create similar high-impact learning environments in their own communities. We are deeply committed to using technology for the public good and building a more inclusive, equitable tech ecosystem for all.
