Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) is a national political organization dedicated to ensuring that Democratic leaders prioritize high-quality, equitable education for all students. At DFER, we believe that every student, especially those from underserved communities, deserves access to a world-class education that empowers them to reach their full potential. Through our work, we support candidates who champion policies that improve the quality of education, while also promoting accountability and school choice. Since our founding, DFER has provided the vision and political infrastructure to elect and support leaders at various levels of government, including influential figures like Barack Obama and Michael Bennet. Our organization actively engages in lobbying efforts, policy development, and campaign strategies that align with our mission, aiming to transform the educational landscape in America. We also focus on cultivating leadership within the Democratic Party, ensuring that education reforms are at the forefront of political discussions and decisions.
