The School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC) at Florida A&M University is the nation’s first accredited program of its kind among historically black colleges and universities. It delivers rigorous undergraduate education through two divisions: Journalism, which covers digital broadcast, print journalism, and public relations, and Graphic Communication, which focuses on graphic design. SJGC combines scholarly instruction with extensive hands‑on experience, supporting more than 600 majors who produce award‑winning student media—including a newspaper, television channel, magazine, and radio station.
