Howard University’s Office of Research is dedicated to fostering groundbreaking innovation and impactful research across all 14 of its colleges and schools. The office provides comprehensive support for faculty, students, and staff to develop and implement research initiatives aimed at improving quality of life both domestically and globally, with a particular focus on solutions for communities of color and historically disenfranchised populations. Beyond research support, the Office of Research drives commercialization and entrepreneurship through two key programs: tech|HU, which manages technology transfer, patents, and investment opportunities; and Pitch|HU, an incubator program empowering diverse founders and early-stage businesses. These initiatives create a dynamic ecosystem for translating research into real-world impact and fostering equitable economic growth.
