About
We are Intrepid Potash, the only producer of muriate of potash in the United States. Since our formation in 2000, we have dedicated ourselves to delivering the essential potassium, magnesium, sulfur, salt, and water products that drive success for our customers in agriculture, animal feed, and the oil and gas industry. We take immense pride in our role as a critical domestic supplier, ensuring that American farmers and industrial partners have reliable access to the minerals they need to thrive. Our operations are rooted in the American West, where we utilize solar evaporation ponds to produce potash and salt. This method is not only one of the safest and lowest-cost production techniques available but also one of the most environmentally friendly. We operate three solar solution potash facilities in Wendover and Moab, Utah, and Carlsbad, New Mexico, along with a conventional underground mine in Carlsbad that produces our unique Trio® specialty fertilizer. We believe that our logistical advantages, combined with our commitment to operational excellence, allow us to serve our diverse customer base with unmatched efficiency and reliability. We are more than just a mining company; we are a team of over 400 dedicated individuals committed to safety, stewardship, and service. We believe in fostering a workplace where our employees can grow and succeed, offering career paths that encourage development and innovation. As we look to the future, we remain focused on maximizing the value of our abundant natural resources while upholding the highest standards of environmental responsibility and community partnership.
