About

LevelTen Energy's journey began in 2016, founded by Bryce Smith, an entrepreneur with a 25-year career dedicated to creating and improving clean power markets. Prior to LevelTen, Bryce co-founded OneEnergy Renewables in 2009, a significant developer of utility-scale solar projects, and started his career at the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, which executed the world's first retail Renewable Energy Certificate transactions. Recognizing the inefficiencies and complexities in renewable energy procurement, LevelTen was conceived to build a platform that dramatically improves the process, making it easier, faster, and less expensive for organizations of all sizes to access power purchase agreements (PPAs). The vision was to create a centralized marketplace, akin to a 'Zillow for energy contracts,' that would connect buyers, sellers, advisors, and financiers of clean energy projects. The LevelTen Platform quickly became the world's largest online hub for renewable energy transactions. Within its first year, the LevelTen Marketplace facilitated the procurement of over a billion dollars worth of renewable energy. The company's innovative approach involved not just matchmaking but also providing sophisticated data analysis, software tools, and expert guidance to help corporations understand, compare, and select the best projects to meet their renewable energy goals. Over the years, LevelTen has expanded its offerings significantly. In 2020, the platform extended its reach to Europe, rapidly growing its network of developers and PPA offers. The company also launched its Asset Marketplace in 2021, enabling the buying and selling of clean energy projects themselves. LevelTen continually innovates, introducing tools like 'MarketPulse' for real-time market data and analytics, and collaborating with major tech companies like Google and Microsoft to further accelerate energy deal-making and develop new solutions for the evolving energy landscape, including efforts in the hydrogen power sector. Today, LevelTen Energy stands as a leading provider of transaction infrastructure for the energy transition, supporting a global network in their pursuit of carbon-free energy.
