About
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) is located in the heart of West Texas and is dedicated to setting a new standard of excellence for medical care within the community. Initially organized in 1967, the hospital has evolved significantly since its inception. The original facility opened in 1949 and served its purpose well for many years, but in 2012, a state-of-the-art 18-bed facility was opened on Interstate 20, designated as a Critical Access Hospital. This facility was designed to meet the healthcare needs of the residents in Martin County and surrounding areas. The mission of MCHD is to provide the highest quality of compassionate care, improving the lives of every patient that walks through our doors. We are committed to excellence and have assembled a highly skilled team dedicated to delivering personalized care, from our 24/7 Emergency Department to our outpatient services and specialized programs. Our comprehensive approach to patient care includes therapy, imaging, and surgical services, emphasizing education and preventive strategies to empower our community. At Martin County Hospital District, our primary focus is on meeting the healthcare needs of our diverse population, fostering wellness, and enhancing the quality of life for all our patients.
