About
The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is the premier trade organization for the U.S. electrical construction industry, representing roughly 4,000 member firms—ranging from small businesses to multinational contractors—that collectively deliver power, lighting, and communication systems to buildings and communities nationwide. NECA’s members perform the design, installation, and maintenance of high‑ and low‑voltage electrical infrastructure, accounting for about 300 million man‑hours each year. Through its national office, regional offices, and 118 local chapters, NECA provides advocacy on legislation and labor matters, develops industry standards and contract documents, and offers management, safety, and technical education. The association also supplies resources on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and emerging technologies, helping members enhance safety, regulatory compliance, and business growth while advancing the overall electrical contracting profession.
