We are the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), and since our founding in 1989, we have been passionately committed to empowering people to access a better future in the healthcare industry. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to enhance the quality of patient care by establishing national competency standards for frontline healthcare workers. This mission drives everything we do, from developing industry-leading certification exams to providing comprehensive learning resources and advocating for the professions we serve. We believe that by certifying professionals who meet a nationally recognized measure of competency, we contribute to a more thoughtful and effective patient experience. Over the years, we have had the honor of awarding over a million certifications, each one representing a life changed and a step towards a more robust healthcare system. We work closely with educational institutions, employers, and healthcare organizations across the nation to ensure our certification programs are relevant and meaningful in today's job market. Our eight certification exams are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), a testament to their quality and psychometric soundness.
