About

At ONI, the central challenge our customers face is the inability to observe and understand the intricate, nanoscale world of biology. Researchers in fields like drug discovery, virology, and immuno-oncology are often limited by conventional microscopy, which cannot resolve the fine details of molecular interactions within living cells. This technological gap hinders their ability to answer critical biological questions, slowing down the development of new diagnostics and therapeutics. Our customers need tools that are not only powerful enough to see individual molecules but are also accessible, user-friendly, and capable of providing quantitative data from complex biological systems. They require a seamless workflow, from sample preparation to data analysis, to accelerate their research and uncover groundbreaking insights that were previously beyond their reach. To address these challenges, ONI is dedicated to democratizing super-resolution microscopy. We empower scientists by providing them with innovative instruments that bring the previously invisible world into focus. Our flagship products, the Nanoimager and the Aplo Scope, are desktop-sized super-resolution microscopes that allow researchers to visualize, track, and image individual molecules in living cells with 20nm resolution. We understand that technology alone is not enough. That's why we've developed a comprehensive ecosystem around our hardware, including our cloud-based analysis platform, CODI, and application-specific kits. This end-to-end solution simplifies the entire workflow, enabling researchers to move from sample to answer with greater speed and efficiency. Our mission is to break down the barriers to cutting-edge science, making it more accessible and affordable. By enabling everyone to see and understand the microscopic details of life, we aim to accelerate human discovery and contribute to the global fight against disease, ultimately helping our customers to develop the next generation of life-saving treatments.
