It is an FDA-approved, once-daily antibiotic available in both oral and intravenous formulations, designed to address the urgent unmet needs of adults with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP) and acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI). Recognizing the challenges healthcare providers face in treating these serious infections, we developed NUZYRA to be a powerful tool against a wide range of susceptible bacteria. We are also dedicated to expanding our impact by addressing other public health threats and have secured a contract with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to support the development of NUZYRA for pulmonary anthrax.
