The company was born out of a shared passion for entrepreneurship and a recognized need to help Europe's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) overcome the limitations of manual HR processes. The founders, Hanno Renner, Roman Schumacher, Arseniy Vershinin, and Jonas Rieke, met while studying at the Center for Digital Technology & Management (CDTM) in Munich and launched Personio in 2015. Their vision was to create a software solution that not only empowers HR teams but also enhances the overall employee experience, thereby propelling businesses forward. Personio's culture is built on a foundation of enabling better organizations. This purpose drives the company to continuously innovate and improve its offerings.
