Physical Designer Engineer, Synthesis/PnR
Owns block- to full-chip physical design of high-performance SoCs at EV maker Rivian — floorplanning, place-and-route, clock tree synthesis, STA and EM-IR signoff from RTL to GDSII — using Synopsys/Cadence EDA tools, RedHawk voltage-drop analysis, and Python/Tcl scripting through tapeout and production silicon.
Sr. Systems Engineer Autonomy
Senior systems engineer on Rivian's Palo Alto autonomy systems integration team, maintaining data-collection HIL benches and integrating in-house high-compute ECUs and ADAS sensors (lidar, radar, camera). Day-to-day spans embedded Linux bring-up, pytest-based test automation, and cross-layer HW/SW debug using Python, Bash, and C++. Onsite role.
Sr. Simulation Engineer, Factory Design
Senior simulation engineer on Rivian's Factory Design & Simulation team, building discrete event simulation and digital twin models of EV manufacturing and logistics processes (body, paint, drive unit, battery, general assembly) to optimize throughput, buffers, and layouts. Uses DES tools with FlexScript/Simtalk/C++/Python. Onsite in Normal, IL or Plymouth, MI; relocation is mandatory.
Staff Battery Cell Test Engineer
Leads end-to-end lithium-ion battery cell test campaigns for Rivian's electric vehicles — from test planning and fixture/metrology setup through execution, automation, and validation/calibration reporting. Automates test execution and data pipelines using Python and SQL and ensures measurement precision via Gauge R&R and MSA.
