We are the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Launched in 2015, we are a platform tailored for the region, providing customers with an easy, secure, and fast online shopping experience through strong payment and fulfillment support. We believe online shopping should be accessible, easy, and enjoyable. This is the vision we aspire to deliver on the platform, every single day. We believe in the transformative power of technology and want to change the world for the better by offering a platform to connect buyers and sellers within a single community. Our journey began in 2015 with our launch in 7 markets across the region: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. In 2016, we pioneered the first 9.9 Super Shopping Day and held our first Shopee University session to help train local entrepreneurs and businesses. The following year, we introduced Shopee Mall across the region. 2018 saw the launch of ShopeePay, our mobile wallet, starting in Indonesia, and the introduction of our first in-app game, Lucky Prize, to make shopping more fun and engaging. In 2019, we launched Shopee Live, our in-app live streaming feature, and opened our regional headquarters in Singapore. This new office was a significant milestone, spanning 244,000 square feet and able to accommodate up to 3,000 employees, allowing us to nurture tech talent and create more job opportunities. The same year, we launched Shopee in Brazil, marking our first market venture outside Southeast Asia and Taiwan. 2020 brought the launch of Shopee Code League and Shopee Premium. We aim to continually enhance our platform and become the region’s e-commerce destination of choice, offering a wide selection of product categories ranging from consumer electronics to home and living, health and beauty, baby and toys, fashion, and fitness equipment.
