About
Techmer PM was established in November 1981 by John Manuck in Los Angeles, California, with a clear vision to address the growing demand for high-quality plastic colorants and additives in the western United States. What started as a focused operation quickly gained momentum, allowing the company to build enduring relationships with film extrusion processors and plastic molders. By 1985, Techmer PM had moved to a major operating site in Rancho Dominguez, California. A pivotal moment came shortly after, when a strategic partnership with Tokyo Printing Ink and Mitsui & Co. of Japan led to the establishment of the company's largest manufacturing facility in Clinton, Tennessee, in 1988. This expansion marked the beginning of Techmer PM's transformation into a significant player in the North American market. Over the ensuing decades, the company continued to grow its footprint and capabilities, evolving into a worldwide supplier of custom masterbatches and engineered polymer compounds for the plastics and fiber industries. Techmer PM expanded its operations with additional facilities in Gainesville, Georgia; Wichita, Kansas; and a specialized Fiber Service Center in Dalton, Georgia. In 2020, SK Capital acquired a majority interest in the company, a partnership designed to further accelerate global growth and innovation. Today, Techmer PM is recognized as a leading materials design firm, collaborating closely with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers to solve complex manufacturing and business challenges. With a strong focus on sustainability through its HiTerra brand and a commitment to technical excellence, Techmer PM continues to define the future of polymer materials.
