Thrive Scholars is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering high-achieving students of color from economically under-resourced communities by providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in higher education and beyond. Founded over 20 years ago in South Central Los Angeles, Thrive Scholars began as a scholarship program specifically focused on high-achieving Black and African American students. The organization later expanded its mission to include a broader range of diverse students, emphasizing equity in education and access to top-tier colleges. The core mission of Thrive Scholars is to bridge the gap in educational opportunities faced by low-income, underrepresented students. The program offers tailored support that spans the college admissions process, mentorship, and career readiness guidance. By focusing on holistic development, Thrive Scholars not only prepares its participants for academic success but also equips them with the skills needed for meaningful careers in various fields. The collaborative efforts with prestigious universities ensure that students gain the necessary confidence to thrive in competitive academic environments.
