Founded in 2010 by Steve Piggott, the studio emerged from the modding community, specifically Team Chivalry, which was responsible for the popular Half-Life 2 mod, 'Age of Chivalry'. Passion and innovation are cited as core elements of their development philosophy. The company focuses on creating unique and engaging multiplayer experiences, particularly in the melee combat genre. Their first major release, 'Chivalry: Medieval Warfare', launched in 2012 after a successful Kickstarter campaign and garnered significant acclaim, including the 'Indie of the Year' award from Indie DB in 2012.
