About
Volunteers of America Colorado is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need transform their lives. Founded in 1896, we have been serving Coloradans for over 125 years through more than 50 distinct human service programs. Each year, we change the lives of nearly 100,000 people in need through comprehensive services, which include housing and emergency shelters, hunger and nutrition assistance, and other vital community support programs. Our mission is rooted in the belief that compassion fosters change; we work to address not only the immediate needs of those we serve but also to empower them for a better future. By integrating compassionate support with effective services, Volunteers of America Colorado aims to build and strengthen communities. We are here for vulnerable populations such as families, children, veterans, and seniors, providing them with the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to become self-sufficient and thrive. Through innovative programming and dedicated staff, we address the unique challenges faced by various community sectors, always responding with empathy and commitment to making a difference.
