About
Wellness Equity Alliance (WEA) is dedicated to addressing healthcare inequities and social determinants of health for historically marginalized communities. Our mission is to reimagine how population and public health services are offered, by focusing through a population health equity lens. We aim to transform the lives of individuals by ensuring that they have access to high quality, culturally competent healthcare services. To achieve this mission, we bring together accomplished clinicians who leverage existing healthcare, political, and financial resources, or create new ones. We collaborate with local governments, health departments, national alliances, and community-based organizations to improve healthcare access. Wellness Equity Alliance believes that equitable healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and we are committed to providing no-cost healthcare for youth and individuals experiencing homelessness. Our services include mobile clinics, street medicine, and culturally relevant health education programs. Through our approach, we seek to build healthier and more equitable communities.
