A growing digital media team is seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to lead the production of compelling podcast video content. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes podcast storytelling, understands short-form video trends, and thrives in a fast-paced, content-first environment.
The scope has shifted from simply editing podcast footage to designing the full visual experience for YouTube. This means:
- Creating dynamic intros that drive retention
- Using data and analytics to guide storytelling choices
- Keeping long-form interviews visually engaging with purposeful graphics, overlays, and cutaways
- Executing brand-aligned, retention-driven editing—not just post-production polish
- Working with YouTube-style content, video podcast formats, and short-form clips (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
What You’ll Do
- Edit 3+ weekly long-form podcast episodes for video platforms
- Produce 9–12 short-form video clips each week, tailored for engagement
- Create strong hooks, branded visuals, and platform-specific intros
- Adapt content for multiple aspect ratios (horizontal & vertical)
- Maintain consistency in style, pacing, and brand tone
- Ensure color grading, audio syncing, and video polish
- Identify high-performing moments alongside content and marketing teams
- Stay ahead of visual and platform trends, especially YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
What You Bring
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci
- Ability to transform long-form interviews into tight, story-driven edits
- Solid knowledge of social-first content strategies and visual best practices
- Familiarity with audio editing basics
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and extremely organized
- Creative eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement

- Experience editing legal, business, or professional service content
- Thumbnail and metadata optimization experience
- Familiarity with both audio-first and video-first podcast formats
