Our client is a dynamic content creation studio specializing in high-quality podcasts, videos, educational content, and digital media. They produce everything from short-form social content to full-length YouTube shows and professional podcast distributions.
They are seeking a skilled and versatile Video Editor who can excel in editing educational videos, event highlight reels, interview content, short-form social clips, and long-form podcast/YouTube episodes. This role is ideal for someone who works fast, communicates clearly, and understands modern content formats across all platforms.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and efficient under tight deadlines. You must have a strong understanding of current social media trends, pacing for educational content, and long-form storytelling for YouTube and podcasts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Educational Video Editing (Primary Focus)
- Edit short educational videos using raw footage, talking-head content, screen recordings, or multi-camera setups.
- Select the best takes and build clear, engaging narratives.
- Sync high-quality audio with video.
- Add supporting visuals (graphics, lower thirds, on-screen text, B-roll).
- Apply sound effects, licensed music, color correction, and polished finishing touches.
- Add accurate captions for accessibility and sound-off viewing.
2. Short-Form Content Creation (Social Media Clips)
- Review long-form content (YouTube videos, interviews, podcasts) to identify compelling moments.
- Edit short-form clips (15–60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
- Add dynamic captions, text treatments, motion elements, zooms/punch-ins, graphics, and sound design.
- Optimize pacing and hooks for maximum retention and virality.
3. Event Highlight Reels & Interview Content
- Edit high-energy event recaps using professional footage, transitions, text overlays, and music.
- Craft clean, polished interview-based videos with strong narrative flow.
- Incorporate B-roll, branded graphics, and color correction to maintain a consistent visual identity.
4. Long-Form Editing (Podcasts & YouTube)
- Edit full podcast episodes and long-form YouTube videos.
- Assemble multi-camera timelines, add graphics, incorporate B-roll, and create smooth pacing.
- Ensure brand consistency, storytelling clarity, and a clean, polished final output.
5. Audio Editing & Production
- Clean, level, and master audio tracks for podcast release (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.).
- Handle noise reduction, EQ, compression, and clarity enhancement.
- Export final podcast audio in the required platforms’ technical specs.
6. Workflow & Communication
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet quick-turn deadlines.
- Deliver consistent updates, follow organized naming conventions, and maintain efficient file management.
- Communicate proactively about needs, blockers, and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Proven video editing experience, specifically in:
- Educational videos
- Short-form social content
- Event highlight reels
- Interviews
- Long-form podcast or YouTube content
- Expert-level proficiency in at least two of the following editing software's:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- CapCut
- Strong understanding of:
- Social trends and viral content structure
- Video codecs, formats, and aspect ratios
- Color correction and basic motion graphics
- Audio editing and mixing
- Fast, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Creative instincts and an eye for storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Additionally, we're looking for someone who's experienced in:
- Editing 10-bit footage
- Creating realistic AI characters of real people,
- Editing Talking head content
- Editing Event highlight reels
- Editing Real estate video content
Benefits
- Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
- Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
- Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
