As a First Cook, you’re not just preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the daily operations of the kitchen – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by helping deliver memorable dining experiences that enhance every guest’s stay.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

• Prepare great tasting dishes: Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
• Support kitchen operations: Assist the Chef de Partie and wider culinary team in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness: Keep all work areas clean, organised, and free from cross-contamination, following company and food safety standards.
• Ensure food quality and storage compliance: Check the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
• Assist with inventory management: Support stock control activities and report any shortages or quality issues to senior team members.
• Uphold regulatory standards: Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and team member wellbeing.
