Monitors the behavior and activities of clients in a Salvation Army emergency housing shelter during the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30PM-midnight), enforcing shelter rules and ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and facilities. Pays $17.50/hour with medical, 401K, and PTO benefits.

Full time - 2nd Shift

Mon-Fri: 3:30PM to 12:00AM (Midnight)

$17.50 Hourly - Bi Weekly

Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army emergency housing program; guards the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with shelter rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitors the behavior and activities of clients.
  • Ensures compliance with shelter rules and policies.
  • Provides safety for guests, staff, and building.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.

Work is usually performed in a housing shelter environment where there are some physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
