Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Our Hastings team is growing and we’re looking for an experienced 3 Waters Tradesperson who knows their way around water infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership on-site working across urban and rural water, wastewater and stormwater networks, from installation through to completion.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Installing and upgrading reticulation systems, pipelines and drainage infrastructure to council standards
  • Reading and interpreting plans, specs and QA requirements
  • Running small sites or leading work fronts when required
  • Operating plant including excavators, loaders and trucks
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard

This role suits someone who’s not just labouring-but understands how water jobs come together and can step up on site.

Ngā pūkenga matua | What you’ll bring

  • National Certificate in Water, Wastewater and Storm Water in level 4
  • Previous experience in electrofusion welding and buttwelding
  • Prior experience in running and looking after 3 water projects
  • Certification in Drainlaying would be highly regarded

  • Class 2 licence + WTR
  • Confidence operating plant and machinery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • A proactive, “get it done” attitude
