This position is for 3rd shift & is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility.

Provides the necessary maintenance support for the facilities, packaging equipment, power, refrigeration, and landscaping at the Yadkinville, NC plant.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise all maintenance and capital projects at the Yadkinville Plant.
- Staff, schedule the maintenance department as appropriate, and ensure its effectiveness through training.
- Maintain a positive labor relations environment with subordinate personnel.
- Analyze production processes and methods.
- Recommend and implement changes and new programs that improve costs.
- Provide monthly summaries to the management of maintenance performance and capital project updates.
- Maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures in areas of own responsibility.
- Provide ongoing training and enforcement as appropriate.
- Responsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Enforce GMP rules and guidelines.
- Identify and communicate food safety issues; lead and influence food safety initiatives.
Minimum Experience:
- Total Yrs. of Experience: 5 to 7 years.
- Six years of experience in engineering and maintenance, including four years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in consumer food products and food packaging. Apprenticeship in one of more maintenance areas.
- Functional experience in the use of Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
- Minimum Formal Education: Associate Degree.
