Summary
Ab Initio Data Engineer building and tuning continuous/batch graphs and plans, using SQL and shell scripting, on a hybrid basis in Sydney.
Role: AbInitio Data Engineer
Type: Full time – Perm
Location: Sydney, AU (Hybrid)
Status: Visa sponsored, open to all nationalities, must be skilled
Skills: Ab Initio, Continuous & Batch flow (Must), SQL, Shell Scripting, Performance Tuning, Agile
Experience: 4+ years in AbInitio Data Engineering, 8+ yrs in Total
Requisites:
- Hands-on experience in building Ab Initio graphs/plans (Continuous Flows, Batch, or both).
- Proven experience in Ab Initio graph performance improvement.
- Knowledge of source control and code promotion techniques in Ab Initio.
- Strong SQL skills (any RDBMS) with basic shell scripting knowledge.
Understanding of database concepts and fundamental computing/network principles.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-have):
- Experience with Realtime applications and API-driven development.
- Strong knowledge/experience in Continuous Flows.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted Ab Initio solutions.
