Position Overview

Superlanet is seeking an Academic Application Analyst to support our client in Texas. This is an initial 3-month, remote contract with a high possibility of extension or conversion to a long-term opportunity. Please note that if the position is extended or converted, occasional travel may be required.

This role will support the configuration, integration, implementation, and optimization of academic technology platforms within a complex health professions education environment. The Academic Application Analyst will play an important role in several evolving academic technology initiatives, including the implementation of a new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and the transition of the organization's learner information management systems.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting academic or enterprise application implementations and is comfortable working across system configuration, data imports, integrations, testing, and documentation. This individual should be able to understand curriculum and operational requirements and translate them into clear, documented technology and configuration decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the configuration, implementation, and ongoing optimization of academic technology platforms.

  • Assist with the implementation of a new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), including configuration, data preparation, testing, integration, and go-live activities.

  • Support the transition and evolution of learner information management and student information systems.

  • Translate curriculum, assessment, accreditation, and operational requirements into documented system configuration and technology decisions.

  • Build, validate, and troubleshoot data imports across academic technology platforms.

  • Develop and maintain configuration standards, data mappings, and integration specifications.

  • Coordinate with university IT teams, internal stakeholders, and technology vendors on system integrations, APIs, user provisioning, authentication, and data exchange.

  • Participate in requirements gathering and workflow analysis with faculty, academic administrators, and program leadership.

  • Develop and execute system testing, including configuration validation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Support go-live readiness activities and provide post-launch stabilization and troubleshooting.

  • Identify application issues, workflow gaps, and opportunities for platform optimization.

  • Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, integration decisions, data standards, workflows, and support procedures.

  • Collaborate across academic and technical teams as the organization evaluates and transitions between technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting academic platform implementations, enterprise application configuration, systems analysis, or a related function within higher education, healthcare, or another complex environment.

  • Experience with application configuration, data imports, system integrations, or data mapping.

  • Familiarity with APIs and integration-based connectivity between enterprise or academic applications.

  • Experience supporting application implementations through requirements gathering, configuration, testing, go-live, and stabilization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational requirements into technical specifications.

  • Strong documentation skills, including configuration documentation, workflows, requirements, and integration specifications.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, IT teams, and vendors.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple implementation priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), virtual learning environments, student information systems (SIS), learner information systems, or academic program management platforms.

  • Experience supporting system integrations involving APIs, identity management, user provisioning, or automated data exchange.

  • Experience working within higher education, an academic medical center, medical school, or health professions education environment.

  • Familiarity with curriculum management, learner assessment, academic scheduling, or student records workflows.

  • Familiarity with accreditation and reporting requirements for undergraduate or graduate medical education programs.

  • Exposure to platforms such as Canvas LMS, Workday Student, or comparable academic enterprise applications is a plus.



Benefits

Hourly pay rate will vary based on qualifications and contract structure $50.00 - 64.00/hr +
