Teiko is building the Artificial Immunologist. With 500M+ years in the making, the immune system is nature’s original fine-tuned model. We are building a foundational laboratory to digitize the immune system and reshape multi-billion dollar markets across clinical trials, oncology, autoimmune diagnostics, prenatal medicine, surgical recovery, and aging.

By capturing high-resolution immune snapshots, we give drug developers and doctors the decisive signal needed to monitor whether a $200M+ clinical trial succeeds, whether a therapy will cause irreversible harm, or whether a patient will respond to a crucial drug.

Through deep technical breakthroughs, we have cracked the key challenges that have held back immune profiling from achieving clinical-grade scale. We are able to crack these precisely because we have an interdisciplinary team with pioneers and experts in immunology, advanced diagnostics, medical commercialization, and machine learning.

This role is intended for someone who wants to sell inside a company where the product addresses a clear pain for customers, the science reflects the patient, the service is reliable, and the customers are translational, clinical development and biomarker teams who can tell the difference between real data and a claim.

About the role

Teiko is looking for an Account Executive to join our growing commercial team. This is a sales role for someone who is excited to build relationships with scientists and decision-makers across biotech and pharma while helping grow an early-stage life sciences company.

You will own the middle of our funnel. Qualified leads reach you from marketing and our SDR team, and your job is to turn them into qualified buyers: running discovery, uncovering budget, authority, need and timing, nurturing the ones that are not ready yet, and moving the ones that are into technical evaluation and proposal. For TokuKit, you will carry that through to the PO yourself. On larger enterprise deals, you will bring the opportunity to the table and work alongside commercial leadership to negotiate and close. You will also grow existing accounts and represent Teiko at conferences and events.

This is a highly cross-functional role on a team that is still being built. We are looking for someone who wants to sell, build relationships, learn the science, sharpen their negotiation and closing skills alongside our commercial leadership, and help shape how we go to market as the company grows.

What you'll do

  • Qualification and pipeline progression

  • Take qualified leads from marketing and the SDR team and move them to qualified buyers

  • Run discovery to uncover budget, authority, need and timing, and document what you learn in HubSpot

  • Lead customer meetings to understand scientific, technical, and business needs and translate them into the right Teiko solution

  • Nurture leads that are not yet ready, with a real cadence and a reason to come back

  • Prioritize your pipeline so effort goes where it converts, and be honest about what will not

  • Partner with Teiko's scientific team to support technical evaluations and move opportunities forward

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, CRM, revenue forecast, opportunity stages, and next steps across your accounts

Moving deals to close

  • TokuKit: own the commercial journey end to end, from qualified opportunity through evaluation, quoting, procurement, and PO collection, including forecasting and expansion into larger studies and clinical programs

  • Enterprise and multi-program deals: bring opportunities to the point of negotiation, then partner with commercial leadership to structure, negotiate, and close them

  • Build your negotiation and closing skills on those larger deals over time, with the goal of leading more of them independently

Account growth

  • Grow existing customer accounts through account management, relationship development, upselling, and cross-selling across Teiko's products and services

  • Identify new programs and business opportunities within existing accounts

  • Build long-term relationships across the translational science, biomarker, clinical development, and research communities

Conferences, events, and peak-season support

  • Represent Teiko at industry conferences, vendor shows, customer meetings, and networking events

  • Help plan and execute conferences, customer dinners, and industry events, including meeting scheduling, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up

  • During high-volume periods such as a heavy conference season, step in to support lead generation and outreach alongside the SDR team

  • Work closely with marketing to bring customer insights into messaging, campaigns, content, and go-to-market strategy

  • Travel for conferences, events, and customer meetings, approximately 25% of the time

  • Team and commercial operations

  • Use CRM and sales tools, including HubSpot, to manage accounts, opportunities, customer activity, and pipeline

  • Help develop repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices as Teiko's commercial organization grows

  • Onboard and serve as a resource for future Account Executives and SDRs as the team expands

  • Bring new ideas, tools, and technologies to the team that improve efficiency, generate qualified opportunities, and help the commercial organization scale

About you

  • Relationship-driven, outgoing, and energized by sales, business development, and building relationships with scientific decision-makers

  • Interested in or experienced with biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare, or scientific research

  • Commercially minded with a strong sense of ownership and motivation to move opportunities forward and drive revenue growth

  • Curious and able to quickly learn complex scientific concepts and communicate them clearly to customers

  • Comfortable running discovery, qualifying honestly, managing accounts, and moving opportunities toward close

  • Eager to sharpen your negotiation and closing skills working alongside experienced commercial leadership

  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and contributing across sales, marketing, conferences, and commercial operations

Experience and qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, customer success, or another customer-facing commercial role

  • Experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, diagnostics, CROs, scientific tools, or laboratory products is a plus

  • Working familiarity with a CRM, ideally HubSpot, and the discipline to keep pipeline data accurate without being asked

  • Familiarity with B2B sales, lead generation, outbound prospecting, pipeline management, and account management is a plus

  • Ability to learn and communicate complex scientific and technical concepts

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of taking ownership and delivering results

  • No specific degree is required. We value demonstrated ability to master complicated subjects, build relationships, and execute
