Account Manager
As an Account Manager at Adyen, you will build strong relationships with innovative international merchants and own the customer relationship end to end. You will drive commercial discussions, meet strategic and financial targets for your assigned accounts, and identify expansion opportunities and value-adding products. You will act as the human dimension of Adyen's product, delivering payments expertise, education, and guidance while using data to tell compelling stories. You will prioritize and execute short- and long-term projects across multiple accounts, navigate customer organizations to align stakeholders, and work collaboratively with a global, multicultural team across cultures and time zones. You will also be the voice of your customers internally, serving as a feedback loop to champion their needs.
Responsibilities
- Build strong customer relationships and navigate their organizations to align external and internal stakeholders
- Drive commercial discussions with customers while meeting strategic and financial targets for assigned accounts
- Deliver payments expertise, education, and guidance to customers as a strategic consultant
- Use data to tell compelling stories and position Adyen as a trusted partner
- Prioritize and execute short and long term projects across multiple accounts
- Champion the customer internally and serve as a feedback loop
- Identify commercial and expansion opportunities and value-adding products
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a client-facing commercial role such as account management, consulting, or payments from the merchant side
- Experience in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure or financial services is a bonus
- Preferred experience in the retail industry
- Full professional written and verbal proficiency in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to work hybrid from the Madrid office
