Account Manager (Japanese-Speaking) (F&B supplier)

Monthly Salary: UP to $7000 (Negotiable)

Working Address: Kaki Bukit

Working Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm, 5.5-day week (half day on Saturdays)

Our client is a leading Singapore-based supplier of premium Japanese food and beverage products.

Established in 1981 and part of a major Japanese trading group, the company imports and distributes fresh, high-quality produce from Japan to the local F&B industry, and exports across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients — Japanese and local F&B businesses (approx. 80–90% of the role)

  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research (approx. 10–20% of the role)

  • Handle order processing, pricing negotiations, and delivery coordination within approved guidelines

  • Conduct client visits and product presentations; respond promptly to enquiries

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, sharing insights with internal stakeholders

  • Develop and execute sales plans (annual, monthly, weekly) to meet or exceed targets

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or account management experience

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese, as the role requires frequent communication with Japanese-speaking clients and counterparts

  • Ability to conduct business in English (local clients and internal communication)

  • Experience in trading / import-export (EXIM) or the F&B industry

  • Valid Class 3 driving licence (company vehicle provided for licensed drivers)
