Description

Markit is a global B2B e-procurement software company transforming how businesses purchase standard IT products by making the process simple, transparent, and efficient. We integrate over 350 of the world’s leading IT distributors into a single, real-time, cloud-based platform, enabling companies to manage and streamline their IT purchasing, all while saving time and reducing costs. We're proud to operate in 51 countries.

To support our Benelux clients, we are looking for a proactive Junior Account Manager. Based in Brussels, this hybrid role combines hands-on client support with relationship building for an established portfolio, guided by experienced colleagues.

You may be starting your career, building on several years of client-facing experience, or bringing an established account-management track record. What matters most is a client-focused mindset, confidence with digital tools, and the motivation to contribute and grow. Junior colleagues will receive practical onboarding and guidance, while more experienced hires can take broader ownership from the outset.

Languages are central to this role. Fluency in French, Dutch, and English is essential. Luxembourgish, German, and other languages are warmly welcomed but not required. As we also support clients in Luxembourg, multilingual candidates and polyglots are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Client Relations & Account Support
  • Relationship building: Get to know our clients and build trusted relationships with active support from experienced colleagues.
  • Portfolio management: Provide reliable day-to-day support to an established portfolio of clients, gradually taking on more responsibility as you grow.
  • Consultative support: Answer daily questions, understand specific client needs, and help make IT purchasing simpler.
Operations & Administration
  • Order management: Prepare quotations and assist with orders, deliveries, inquiries, and warranty cases.
  • Data integrity: Learn to use our sales and back-office tools to maintain accurate client information, order administration, and straightforward account reports.
  • Internal collaboration: Partner with operations, suppliers, and international colleagues to ensure a smooth, reliable service delivery.
Learning & Development
  • Regional teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues across Brussels, Amsterdam, and the UK while supporting local and international clients within our wider UK, Ireland, and Benelux region.
  • Skill building: Take part in relevant vendor and product training to build your IT and sales knowledge step by step.

Requirements

Education & mindset: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or an equivalent analytical professional mindset and experience. We welcome junior candidates as well as experienced account managers.
Languages: Full fluency in French, Dutch, and English (essential); additional languages are a strong advantage.
Client focus: Previous client-facing experience is an asset, but a friendly, proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping clients matter most.
Tech savvy: Comfort with digital tools and a keen interest in learning about IT systems.
Soft skills: A practical, solution-focused mindset, excellent communication skills, and the enthusiasm to learn and grow.
Flexibility & location: Work at least two days per week from our Brussels office, conveniently located next to the European Commission, and work from home on the remaining days.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: A competitive fixed salary reviewed annually, complemented by a quarterly performance bonus tied to achieved targets.
  • Work-life balance: Paid leave and public holidays in line with Belgian employment conditions.
  • Tools for success: A high-quality laptop and all the modern resources you need to perform at your best in a hybrid work setup.
  • Internal growth: We are building our Brussels team investing in junior colleagues so they can progress with dedicated mentorship, practical guidance, and resources to support their development.

Our culture is built on kindness, transparency, loyalty, and professionalism, with a strong focus on helping our clients succeed. We listen with empathy, communicate with integrity, and innovate with purpose. Internally and externally, we foster trust, support, and long-term collaboration.

At Markit, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and contribute to our “Helping Clients Succeed” philosophy, which sets us apart and makes us outstand in the industry.
