Account Manager | Personal Lines

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing the complete service cycle for new and renewal personal insurance clients. This includes marketing, underwriting coordination, proposal delivery, binding, billing, and policy maintenance in Applied Epic. The role requires strong organizational skills, strict adherence to underwriting and agency standards, and proactive communication with clients and producers.

Work Performed:

  • Manage personal lines accounts throughout the entire policy lifecycle, including new business, renewals and mid-term changes
  • Provide exceptional service to existing clients while supporting growth through inside/outside referrals
  • Assist with coverage placement, risk evaluation and recommending updates based on client needs
  • Prepare and process policy documents including binders, ID cards, EOPs and insurance summaries
  • Handle client billing needs- invoice processing, reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding items
  • Answer incoming calls, greet walk-ins and provide general support in a client-facing capacity
  • Participate in client and carrier meetings as needed
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required)
  • Extensive knowledge of personal insurance products (home, auto, umbrella, collections, etc)
  • Strong organization and time management abilities
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 3+ years experience with personal lines insurance is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with agency workflows and management systems (e.g., Applied Epic) is a plus
  • Understanding of agency workflows and procedures
