Accounting Associate
NewBe an early applicantThe Accounting Associate is an hourly, hands-on position responsible for administrative support of the accounting department. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing accounting responsibilities with day-to-day administrative and office support.
What You’ll Do
Print and mail customer invoices and statements as requested
Receive, review, and process incoming payments to the corporate office
Apply customer payments accurately and timely to the appropriate accounts and invoices
Prepare and process daily check deposits, including scanning or delivering deposits as required
Follow established internal controls and safeguard confidential customer and financial information
Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming mail
Prepare outgoing mail, certified mail, overnight packages
Maintain postage and office supplies
Monitor supply levels and place orders within approved budgets
Keep common areas, supply rooms, mail areas, and breakroom areas organized and appropriately stocked
Receive deliveries and communicate with employees when packages arrive
Help coordinate office lunches, meetings, employee events, and other workplace activities as requested
Assist employees and visitors with general office-related questions
Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma required
Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred
One or more years of experience in administrative support preferred including mail and check processing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize time-sensitive items
Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills
Professional judgment when handling confidential financial and employee information
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively in an in-office environment
