About GH Logistics
GH Logistics is a growing, asset-based transportation and logistics company. We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Lead who can take ownership of complex accounting projects, reconcile high-volume financial data, and turn unclear discrepancies into clear, accurate answers.
This is a hands-on accounting role. We are not looking for someone who only wants to manage a team or review reports. You will be expected to work directly in the data, investigate discrepancies, and own assigned projects from start to finish.
What You’ll Own
- Manage and reconcile carrier settlement activity
- Verify payments and identify payment discrepancies
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Reconcile large and complex financial datasets
- Research historical transactions to determine what was paid, what is owed, and where discrepancies occurred
- Own assigned back-month reconciliation projects
- Work directly with transportation-specific payment terms and carrier pay cycles
- Develop a strong understanding of GH Logistics' complete financial flow
- Assist with accounting and finance-related projects as needed
- Bring ERP knowledge and experience that can support future system development and implementation
- Work independently on time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on accounting experience
- Proven AP/AR experience
- Advanced reconciliation experience
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work through large, messy datasets and identify exactly what went wrong
- ERP experience required; ERP implementation or setup experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volume
- Ability to learn transportation and trucking accounting quickly
- Self-starter who can take ownership of projects without constant follow-up
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Transportation or logistics accounting experience is a strong plus but is not required.
