Accounting Technician

Performs accounts payable in the maintenance and processing payment; process MRO’s and Raw/Packaging material invoices/receiving reports, check request and reconciliations. Performs accounting functions related to the preparation of journal entries, financial reports, general ledger account reconciliations.

Supports the activities and functions related to payroll accounting with the mentoring of Accounting and Payroll Analyst. Ensures that the procedures for registration of attendance and payment of payrolls are applied in an efficient manner, with the purpose of ensuring compliance with payment to employees. Establishes contact with the Payroll/Time and Attendance System firm.

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• One year of experience in an accounting or finance position
• In depth understanding/knowledge of:
• GAP’s and GMP’s
• Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Working knowledge of payroll and accounts payable functions.

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and external vendors.

· High level of discretion in the handling of confidential information
