Administrator Cold Strip Mill
About the Role:
The Cold Strip Mill Administrator will safely and effectively provide support for Cold Strip Mill (CSM) processes as necessary to achieve corporate goals by adhering to the established corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines with intent to deliver consistent positive results to external and internal customers.
Qualifications (Required & Preferred):
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (R); Associate’s Degree in Business or related field; or, equivalent Experience (P)
Experience: 4 years of Manufacturing Experience (R); 2 years of Maintenance Planning experience (P); 2 years in Project Coordination (P)
Areas of Knowledge: Safety, Health, & Environmental (R), Mechanical Aptitude (R), Blueprint Reading (R), Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) (R), Applied Mathematics (R), Labor Relations (P), 5S (P), Six Sigma/Green Belt exposure (P).

Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure that safety and office supplies inventories are adequate for scheduled production levels.
- Organize and maintain safety, training, production and other miscellaneous records generated within the CSM in accordance with established retention requirements.
- Manage and organize inventory levels for spare items used throughout the CSM (i.e., rolls, shear blades, slitter knives, MKW bearings, other misc. items). Standardize inventory where possible (internal to CSM and external with other departments equipment). Coordinate shipment of and receipt of items and equipment shipped to or procured from outside sources (internal contact) which includes inventory items maintained within CSM and the stainless-steel inventory.
- Generate purchase requisitions for inventory replacement, outside activities and initiate contracting out notices for the union representative. Communicate negative trends specific to usage of inventory and evaluate/initiate corrective actions, as necessary.
- Review blueprints for accuracy when ordering or reordering inventory items or parts. Contact plant engineering and/or maintenance personnel to address any issues. Verify, through visual inspection and review of certifications, of incoming parts or items as received from internal and external sources for correct dimensions and fitness for use, prior to locating in inventory.
- Revise and Develop policies, procedures, SOP, QCI, work instructions for operations and equipment used in the CSM
- Track daily Oil adds
- Assist Maintenance Supervision in coordination and tracking of the 100 Mill Chock Repair, Rebuild and Spare Part Inventory process. Coordinate procurement of spare part inventory through internal and external sources and communicate finding and issues to management in a timely manner.
- Assist in the completion of capital expenditure requests/process.
