Afterschool Program Coordinator

Position: Program Coordinator
Location: Petaluma and Santa Rosa Areas
General Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Club Leader, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and operating programming within a specific Club. Works directly with groups of up to 20 Members, following the school day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Implements daily challenges and learning activities on a daily basis.
Executes targeted enrichment programs that support English Language Learners, positive relationship building, problem-solving and social-emotional development.
Delivers programs and activities in the following five core areas: Academic Success, The Arts, Leadership & Service, Sports, and Health & Wellness.
Establishes a strong relationship with school teachers.
Fosters strong relationships with Members through:
Role modeling and group management.
Creating an environment that facilitates achievement.
Maintaining enthusiasm and a positive attitude with youth and within the Club community.
Conveying warmth, care & proper guidance in ongoing interactions with Members.?
Consistent attendance to create stability for Club Members
Maintains a safe, clean, appealing environment and ensures Member safety through proper supervision.?
Utilizes trauma-informed behavior management tools to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all Members.
Actively participates in daily and weekly Club communication with co-workers, supervisors, volunteers and parents in regard to Member behavior and achievements
Encourages Members to take responsibility for their good behavior and reinforces high behavior expectations at all times.
Education and/or Expertise:
4+ ECE units, preferred
High School diploma (or higher)
Age 18 or older
Prior experience in an early childhood setting, preferred.
Computer & Equipment Skills:
Microsoft Office preferred
