AI Application Developer
Summary
Develop and maintain web applications and APIs using AI-assisted tools like Claude, deploying on Microsoft Azure, handling the full project lifecycle, and ensuring security, documentation, and support for field and administrative operations.
Pathfinder Inspections & Field Services is seeking an experienced AI Application Developer to build, improve, and maintain internal and customer-facing applications that support our field and administrative operations.
This position will use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, to quickly turn business needs into working software. We are looking for someone who can use AI to move development forward while still having the technical knowledge to understand, troubleshoot, correct, secure, and maintain the code being produced.
This is not a prompt-only position. The ideal candidate has real software development experience and can take a project from an initial idea through development, deployment, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications and APIs using AI-assisted development tools, including Claude
- Work with Pathfinder leadership and employees to turn business needs into practical technology solutions
- Take projects from initial idea and prototype through testing, deployment, maintenance, and support
- Build and deploy applications and backend services using Microsoft Azure
- Work with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and other appropriate data solutions
- Configure and maintain authentication and authorization through Microsoft Entra ID
- Secure application credentials and sensitive information using Azure Key Vault
- Build and maintain Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Review AI-generated code for accuracy, security, performance, cost, and maintainability
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide support after deployment
- Maintain clear documentation for applications, development decisions, and processes
- Research AI and technology tools that could improve Pathfinder operations
- Protect confidential company, employee, customer, and operational information
