Vylor has an exciting opportunity for an AI Business Analyst Intern to join our Innovation & Operations Management team based, based in Johnston, Iowa to apply analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, real-world business environment. Do you enjoy analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending solutions? This is a hybrid role that blends traditional business analysis with hands-on AI development. You'll partner with the team to identify process pain points and then build AI-powered solutions to address them, designing intelligent agents and automated workflows that go well beyond off-the-shelf chatbots. From day one, you will be assigned projects focused on analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and supporting data-driven decision-making to solve real-life problems.
This role is for someone who can build with AI, not just use a chat interface. If you've created AI agents, automated multi-step tasks, or wired LLMs into real workflows, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Document existing workflows, gather requirements from stakeholders, map processes
- Build and test AI agents and automated workflows; design and refine prompts; chain LLM calls
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions, demo them to stakeholders, and iterate rapidly
- Prepare, clean, and structure data for AI inputs; connect solutions to internal data
- Document what you build, train end users, and capture lessons learned for the broader team
What Skills You Need:
- Foundational programming skills, ideally Python
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and prompt engineering
- Practical experience with agentic AI — tool/function calling, multi-step task automation, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Data manipulation skills (SQL, pandas, or spreadsheets)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, a commitment to transparency, and a passion for creating value for customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse technologies and techniques.
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.000 on a 4.000 scale at current university.
- A minimum requirement for this US-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis. Applicants who do not indicate that they have the necessary permanent work authorization will not be considered for this US-based position.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Business or Engineering field.
Education & Eligibility:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field OR pursuing a business-focused degree paired with demonstrated technical AI skills
