About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Developer to drive AI-enabled development practices, AI knowledge adoption, and hands-on capability building across enterprise IT teams within a large multinational organisation in the financial services sector.
Important: This is an enablement and coaching role, not a pure development role. The successful candidate will spend significant time training and coaching both technical and non-technical staff, including product managers and business users with no coding background. Hands-on AI tool experience alone is not sufficient. Demonstrated experience delivering training, workshops, and coaching is essential.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to embed AI-assisted development practices, establish governance standards, and deliver measurable productivity improvements across the technology organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices within engineering and delivery teams
Establish governance frameworks, best practices, and effective usage patterns for GitHub Copilot (GHCP) across development teams
Design and deliver AI-related training, workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and hands-on coaching for technology teams
Provide practical enablement on GitHub Copilot (GHCP) usage, configuration, and adoption across engineering functions
Help teams identify, develop, and implement AI use cases, AI agents, and automation opportunities that improve IT productivity and technology process efficiency
Advise on AI best practices, governance considerations, and practical adoption approaches within day-to-day delivery activities
Measure, track, and report on AI adoption outcomes, developer productivity improvements, and value realisation from AI tools
Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, delivery, and leadership to drive AI capability development
Support the integration of AI-assisted workflows into existing software development lifecycle and DevOps practices
Act as a subject matter advisor on AI-assisted development within the technology organisation
Qualifications
Malaysian citizen or valid Malaysian permanent work rights with legal work authorization
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering technical training, workshops, and hands-on coaching, including to non-technical audiences
Proven enterprise AI adoption experience, particularly involving GitHub Copilot (GHCP), Microsoft Copilot, or similar AI coding and productivity platforms
Strong background in software engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, and modern development practices
Demonstrated experience establishing governance, best practices, and usage standards for development tools across teams
Experience designing and delivering technical training, workshops, and hands-on coaching for engineering teams
Experience measuring and reporting on AI adoption outcomes and developer productivity improvements
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
Senior-level candidate with hands-on technical expertise and proven coaching capability
Banking, insurance, or financial services industry exposure is an advantage but not mandatory
Able to work onsite in Kuala Lumpur
Available to start immediately or on short notice
