AI Product Engineer

You will move across the company, picking up whatever project has the most leverage that week. You'll build demos that show developers what agentic commerce looks like, automate workflows to save teams hours of manual work, stand up MCP servers that give AI agents access to APIs, or ship features in Terminal Web. You'll be the person trusted to take on a problem and come back with something that works. You'll use AI-native tools as a natural part of how you build, and you'll be comfortable being dropped into an unfamiliar codebase on Monday and demoing a working prototype by Friday. You'll work autonomously with minimal direction, understanding priorities and executing where you can have the most impact, while context switching across projects and teams and maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

  • Build demos and developer experiences that showcase Lightning payments, L402-gated APIs, Taproot Assets, and agentic workflows
  • Automate and augment internal workflows by partnering with engineering, product, business development, and marketing teams
  • Build tools, scripts, MCP servers, and integrations that make the company faster
  • Ship production features across products including Terminal Web, LND, and new products
  • Work autonomously with minimal direction and identify high-impact projects
  • Context switch across projects and teams while maintaining quality

Requirements

  • Build and ship production-quality software with a portfolio, GitHub profile, or set of projects to demonstrate this
  • Use AI-native development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) as part of daily workflow
  • Be comfortable across the full stack including TypeScript, React, Go, and Python
  • Have strong product instincts and be able to translate between technical and non-technical contexts
  • Be familiar with agentic AI patterns including tool use, MCP, and multi-step workflows
  • Be self-directed with a bias toward action
