Compensation Details
- The starting hourly rate for this position is between $35.00 and $44.00 based on your prior work experience.
- When you work on a Contour observed holiday, you are eligible to receive holiday pay which is paid at 2 times your hourly rate. Specific information regarding Contour’s observed holiday policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.
- When you work in excess of 40 hours within the pay period, you are eligible for overtime, which is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate

Summary of Essential Duties
The Aircraft Maintenance On-the-Job Trainer (OJT) is responsible for delivering hands-on training and mentorship to aircraft maintenance personnel. This role ensures that trainees gain practical experience and develop the skills necessary to perform maintenance tasks in compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured on-the-job training to maintenance technicians and apprentices.
- Supervise and guide trainees during live aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all training activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., FAA Part 145, FAA Part 135).
- Maintain accurate training records, including task sign-offs and progress reports.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Training Department to align OJT with classroom instruction.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to maintenance best practices.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of OJT programs and materials.
- Stay current with aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory changes.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in hangars, on the ramp, and occasionally in classroom settings.
- May require shift work, weekends, and travel depending on operational needs.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain environments.
