AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of Bombardier CL604, CL850, Embraer EMB-135 and ERJ-190 aircraft.
Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Aircraft Trimmers to join our team.
Role
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with experience working in a Base Maintenance environment. Preference will be given to individuals who are from a cabin maintenance background, with proven hands-on experience of aircraft cabin component removal and installation.
This role reports to the Production Manager and is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a rotational 5-5-4 day shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and rectify aircraft cabin trim defects in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
- Cut, sew and install aircraft soft furnishings, including seat upholstery, sidewalls and interior panels, using materials such as leather, Tedlar and laminates.
- Carry out interior refurbishment and repair work to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer manuals, company procedures, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and all applicable UK CAA, EASA and National Aviation Authority regulations.
- Accurately complete all required maintenance documentation.
- Promptly report any hazards, defects or non-conformities in accordance with company procedures.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within the maintenance team.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Production Manager or Certifying Licensed Engineer in line with approved maintenance documentation.
About You
- Proven experience in aircraft interior trimming, upholstery or aircraft cabin refurbishment.
- Excellent craftsmanship with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working a 5-5-4 shift pattern.
- Confident working within VVIP aircraft cabins, including galleys and lavatories, using the appropriate specialist tools and equipment.
