Analyst - Application Development (Java-based cloud/non-cloud system)
Summary
Develops secure Java-based enterprise backend apps and microservices, cloud integrations, and APIs while collaborating with distributed teams to meet business needs.
The Analyst - Application Development is responsible for working with hands-on development tasks, solution design and cooperate with distributed team to complete the development projects. Provide technical expertise on design, analysis, implementation on web/mobile application, enterprise systems, and Java-based cloud/non-cloud system integrations.
Primary Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain secure enterprise backend applications and microservices primarily using Java.
- Build, test, and deploy robust cloud integration workflows, data pipelines, and REST/SOAP API services to connect in-house and external systems.
- Develop the application and solution compile with the Application Development team coding standard and practices
- Ensure the security, capacity, performance and availability of systems in data, full-stack enterprise applications, and cloud integration perspectives
- Cooperate/Co-develop with the external vendors to deliver the project timely with quality
- Design and develop the application solutions to meet the business needs (native, web, mobile, API service/application)
- Cooperate with distributed teams to design and develop the application solutions to meet the business requirement and expectation
- Work with project manager to engage users for requirement gathering, implementation, testing and adoption
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in computer science or equivalent major
- Proficient in Java (including frameworks like Spring Boot or Hibernate) for enterprise application and API development
- Communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin is required
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Self-motivated and able to work in a stressful and demanding work environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills will be a great plus
- Hands-on experience in modern applications (web / mobile) design and development will be a great plus
- Familiar with design pattern and development framework will be a good plus
- Hands-on experience or exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP Integration Suite, or SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model will be a strong advanced plus
- Experience in DevOps/Agile/Scrum/CICD process will be preferable
- Gaming or hospitality industry experience is good plus
- Experience in container and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) will be a good plus
