Requirements
- Experienced (3+ years) investment analyst with expertise in Asian/Japan equity research.
- Established, rigorous and thorough investment process that encompasses both quantitative and qualitative elements; focus on Asia/Japan a strong plus but experience in other regions with strong links to Asia/Japan also considered.
- Generalist mindset, with experience across different corporate sectors and an ability to analyze companies and securities from first principles, both public and private.
- Self-starter with a desire to contribute to team performance from day 1, sources ideas actively rather than waiting to be pushed.
- Genuine passion for unearthing trades, high energy and a curiosity for the investment world and expanding one’s skillset. A strong desire for mastery in the field and to see one’s ideas implemented in the portfolio.
- Strong courage in analytical convictions and ability to communicate well with PMs combined with a proven ability to learn from losing trades/missed opportunities and implement those learnings going forward.
- Strong network and relationships across the industry.
- High levels of integrity, interpersonal skills and desire to take one’s career to the next level.
