Analyst Programmer (Python, R, SAS, VBA, SQL)
Salary: $38,000 – $45,000 per month
About the role
This role focuses on migrating existing applications to modern platforms using new technologies in databases, datawarehousing, data governance and AI-driven data workflows. You will collaborate with users in analysing existing business workflows and applications to design and implement new systems for operation efficiency enhancement.
Key responsibilities
Review and interpret existing legacy systems using SAS, Python, R or VBA codes to understand business logic, data dependencies and processing requirements
Migrate legacy programs while preserving business functionality and ensuring accuracy of results
Develop and automate data processing workflows using Python, R and AI Agent workflow systems
Develop reports supported by ETL/ELT and data virtualisation tools to enable data integration and reporting during application migration
Use AI-assisted development tools to support code analysis, conversion, documentation and testing
Collaborate with business users, data teams and infrastructure teams to clarify requirements and resolve migration issues
Document existing logic, conversion rules, technical designs, and operating procedures
Support deployment, troubleshooting and knowledge transfer to ensure a smooth transition to the new platform
About you
Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience across both front- and back-end technologies
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks including Python, R, SAS, VBA, and SQL and working with relational databases
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively in programming design, code review and architectural discussions
Solid experience in application migration, code conversion and data processing (advantageous)
Familiarity with workflow automation and version control, and AI development (advantageous)
Knowledge of Infrastructure Architecture, Virtualization technologies and Containerization technologies (advantageous)
