Analyst Programmer / Software Engineer (Java, Javascript, SQL)
Summary
A hands-on developer in Hong Kong who works across the full SDLC for public-sector systems: building prototypes from user requirements, coding in Java, JavaScript, and SQL, creating test plans, and supporting system testing and UAT, with AI coding tools/LLM agents encouraged to speed up development.
We are seeking an Analyst Programmer / Software Engineer to join our client team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will play a key part in the full software development lifecycle—from building prototypes based on user needs to coding, testing, and system rollout. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on developer eager to apply modern web technologies and leverage emerging AI coding tools to accelerate development and deliver high‑impact public sector systems.
Responsibilities
System development, maintenance, and support
Assist senior staff in end-to-end system development.
Develop functional prototypes based on collected user requirements.
Perform coding, create test plans, and carry out thorough testing on program modules.
Support the team in conducting comprehensive system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Requirements
At least 3 years of post‑qualification IT experience, with at least 1 year in a similar post and comparable capacity.
Experience in using AI coding tools and LLM agents are preferrable.
