Analyst Programmer
Summary
Application developer for a Hong Kong traditional medicine company's internal IT team: builds and integrates applications, supports Retail ERP/POS users, manages change requests, UAT, documentation, and vendors. Core stack: Java (Spring Boot/Cloud, MyBatis), MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, cloud-native on Alibaba Cloud.
Responsibilities:
Application development and system integration
Manage the change requests, system support
UAT testing in IT projects
Prepare system documentation; database & system maintenance
Coordinate vendors on system development projects
Using MS Query/Application Report Writer to write users’ report
Application support for Retail shops and Office user for ERP/POS System
Requirements:
Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent disciplines
4years or above working experience in application development
Proficient in Java and object-oriented design and development, with in-depth research experience in some Java technologies. Priority will be given to candidates who have studied the source code of excellent open-source software and have insights to share
Proficient in mainstream open-source frameworks and technologies such as Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and MyBatis. Priority will be given to candidates with the ability to design architectures for massive services and distributed systems
Familiarity with common open-source systems such as Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch; familiarity with commonly used middleware and services such as Alibaba Cloud is preferred
Familiarity with cloud-native development models and approaches is essential
Proficient in the principles of databases such as MySQL, Oracle and MSSQL, as well as common performance optimization and scaling techniques
Understanding of NoSQL and Queues, their principles, use cases, and limitations; proficient in writing SQL statements is required
Solid experience in application development using Microsoft platform and MSSQL database
Experience in Retail ERP/POS system project implementation
Knowledge in Retail e-commerce will be an advantage
Self-motivated, able to work independently and work under pressure with tight timelines
